Every-Occasion Bartender – Extensive Collection of Cocktail Recipes
What is the SoftCircuits-developed application Every-Occasion Bartender and what can it do for all the computer users out there? This application is nothing more than an extensive collection of cocktail recipes. Just to put things in perspective, it must be said that Every-Occasion Bartender has a grand total of 321 cocktail recipes to offer. If it had a few more recipes you could drink a different cocktail every day for a whole year.
All these cocktails are grouped in 12 categories: bourbon, brandy/liqueur, crèmes, gin, kahlua, rum, scotch, sloe gin, vermouth, vodka and whiskey.
It is incredibly easy to use Every-Occasion Bartender. The application has a double pane interface – in the left pane you have the 12 categories I mentioned above; in the right pane you have the list of recipes. From the left hand pane, you must select a category. Since I am a scotch man, let’s say you select scotch. Now from the right hand pane, select a cocktail – double click the cocktail’s name to view it, or simply click the big “View” button at the bottom. As soon as you do that, a window will pop up, presenting you with the ingredients and the steps you need to take to make that cocktail.
Before you go get Every-Occasion Bartender and put it to the test, check out these additional details:
Download – the download weighs in at less than 2MB, so even on a less than spectacular internet connection, it should not take long to get the application off the web and onto your computer.
Installation - at the time of writing this, and according to the application’s developer, Every-Occasion Bartender can be installed on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, 2003, and XP.
Limitations - Every-Occasion Bartender is free to try. This means you cannot add new recipes and you cannot use the search function. It also means that only a few recipes are available in the trial version.
